Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009 - 2 p.m.
Second annual pet blessing event. While this is not specifically a coming out event per se, it's a lot of fun, and as always, we welcome and celebrate the participation of any members of the LGBT community who would like to join us.

Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. Of course, I never know what Pastor Scott is going to say in his sermon, but I'm sure it will include a message that honors and reflects upon National Coming Out Day.

Saturday, Oct. 17 - 6 p.m.
Annual Gourmet Dinner fundraiser for the Good Samaritan Project, Kansas City's provider of essential services to persons living with HIV/AIDS. All profits from the event go to the Good Samaritan Project. Again, while not an "official" coming out event, this is obviously an important issue that affects the LGBT community.
