Comic Call: Come out, come out wherever you are

Special ‘Third Thursday’ event to find a local stand-up comic to open for Sabrina Matthews and Bob Smith at HRC-KC’s 6th Annual Comedy Night at the Uptown Theater on Nov. 2.

5:30 p.m. – Third Thursday networking and social happy hour
7:30 p.m. – Comic Call contest

Comics: Prepare two 4- to 5-minute routines for the celebrity judges. Winners will advance to the final round and perform a 7-minute improvised routine at the judges’ request. Overall winner will open for Sabrina Matthews and Bob Smith on Nov. 2 at the Uptown. There’s no entry fee, but space is limited. You must pre-register for a slot.
