Coalition of Welcoming Ministries Event Featuring HRC's Harry Knox

Join the Kansas City Coalition of Welcoming Ministries for the first annual "Academy of Welcome" focusing on GLBT issues and faith.

Speakers include:

  • Harry Knox, director-HRC Religion and Faith Program
  • Dr. Robert Minor, professor of religion-University of Kansas.
  • In addition, the Heartland Men's Chorus will perform at a special 7 p.m. service (free and open to the public).

2. Understanding transgender- presented by Donna Ross
3. How a congregation becomes "officially" welcoming
4. A checkup for welcoming faith communities

5:30 - 6:30pm

Dinner

7:00 - 8:00pm
